Brewery Basics
Intro
Time to brew! Unlike in vanilla Minecraft, it’s not as easy as adding an ingredient to a Brewing Stand and waiting for it to finish.
Depending on the recipe, the whole process can be difficult and time-consuming. Some recipes may need a high level of precision when it comes to adding ingredients or any in other step in the process.
If a particular step was done incorrectly or at the wrong time, the quality of the brew may suffer, or you may even end up with an entirely different brew!

- Obtain a cauldron and fill it with water.
-
Add a heat source under your cauldron. This can be one of many:
- Fire or Soul Fire
- Lava or Magma blocks
- Campfire or Soul Campfire
- Add the ingredients for your recipe by right-clicking the cauldron with each one.
- Use a clock on the cauldron to see how long the drink has been brewing for.
- When the cauldron has brewed for the instructed amount of time, use 3 glass bottles to fully extract the contents of the cauldron.
Aging
Aging is a feature that allows you to age your brews in barrels. When a brew is aged, it may gain additional effects. Aging is also a necessary process for some brews.
Creating Barrels
Barrels can be created by placing a sign on a collection of blocks in a barrel shape, with the text "barrel" on it. Note that it is not case-sensitive.
Barrels can be created using different materials, including all wood types and even copper.
After putting the brews into the barrel, wait for the brew to age. One year of aging time is equal to one in game day. If you leave the brew to age for too long, or use the wrong kind of wood, it may spoil.
Distilling
A distillery has two inventories, one for the output (distillate) and another for the input (mixture). Put the brew in the mixture inventory and wait a while. After about a minute, the brew will be distilled, and can be retrieved from the distillate inventory. The amount of times a brew needs to be distilled depends on the recipe.
Creating a Distillery
A distillery can be created using Decorated Pots and Bamboo Fences.

Sealing a brew can be done with the /brew seal
command while holding the brew. Sealing removes unique data such as
brew time from individual brews, which allows them to be sold in chest shops.
